Grenades

Grenades can change 1v3 clutch situations to 1v2 or even to 1v1. I recommend everyone gets a lot of practice with them because it can be a total game changer. It can also go from Rad to Bad which can cost you matches but this is why you practice nading in pubs and pugs. Make sure you cook the nade and throw it at locations where enemies are hiding. You can also save them and have them on your side for when you have to clutch, but I think saving them this long can be waste of gear. Make sure to not fry your allies with them because they will be raging at you.

Black Ops Patch!!!

View thread - PC Community Update (12/2/10) - Call of Duty: Black Ops - Coming 11.09.10

YAY They are coming out with the first major patch, I'm hoping that everything will be fixed!!

Movement

Movement is by far the best skill you can acquire in any game. Being fast allows you to not block your team mates and get to the capture point before your enemies get to you. Being fast also enables you to surprise enemies and get them to "twitch" and it gives you a higher advantage of getting the frag.

Not Playing Stupid

This is a tip mainly for beginners, I am very impatient in pub games so I always rush out and usually get 1-2 frags while doing that. When you get aggravated that you keep getting fragged  and cant get any kills I'd suggest to stay back and think of  the most possible locations where enemies would be hiding. Also take a glimpse of the area and see where everyone is, from there you can make your plan to get your frag. When you peek you take the risk of getting shot by the sniper. If the map is big I would grab a sniper and change the game around for my team. If someone peeks you usually get a free frag, making the game a 5v4 situation or how ever many you can get with the sniper. It also highly depends on the game mode you are playing.

Digital Vibrance

For me Digital Vibrance does a huge roll in gaming for me. It helps me notice my enemies a tad bit faster, due to the color change of my enemies. It helps me see better with my peripheral vision, and enhances my reaction time.
Digital Vibrance is in the Nvidia Control panel, under adjust desktop color settings. I put digital vibrance to 100 and you will see a significant change on your desktop and in game.

Not having a gaming mouse

If you do not have a gaming mouse I highly recommend you to tweak your config and  find the perfect sensitivity that fits your gaming style. You will be in a slight disadvantage due to the fact that you have low polling rate. If you want to check out best gaming mouse then go to read the article "Best Gaming Mouse 2017."

Feeling comfortable

Feeling comfortable is a very important part of gaming, lets say your sitting in a position that really gives you back pain or doesn't allow you to have full focus on the game. Make sure that you are in a comfortable position before you join a game, I'll guarantee you that your performance level will highly go up.

Long time practice

To be  good in a video game is kind of like to be good in sports. It takes endless hours of practice to achieve the skill level you desire. I have been fps gaming for about 4 years now and have been playing in sports leagues. I started off being very very bad, but I always had belief that I can be the top.

Staying Calm

Staying calm is one of the most important things you must do in fps games. The second you get frustrated, you get thrown off your game and are unable to play your 'A' game. I was playing a match and I was leading my team by a  mile, then i started getting frustrated and angry and my aim just went down and I was unable to get frags for about 4-5 rounds and almost cost us the match. This is why you must always keep calm no matter what the circumstances are. Just remember its a game its not  the end of the world.

Gaming Mouses

When you're out to pick a computer mouse, the most important thing is the feel of it. It has to fit your hand perfectly and feel relaxed. I use a G9x and I love the grip of it. Most people I game with highly dislike  the mouse because it feels really weird. The mouse has a lot of cool features from mouse macros to 5000 dpi. I don't think 5000 dpi is really worth it since i have never gone up that high. I don't think I ever passed 1800 dpi on a mouse. My current G9 settings are set to 1100 dpi with 1.6 in game sensitivity and 1 pointer speed. My mouse pad is a Razor Destructor which is by far the best mouse pad i have ever used.

Improving Frames Per Second

Frames Per Second or fps determine how smooth your game runs. You should go in your config and change the settings to the most minimum possible. This will make your game more stable, the more stable it is the easier it is to track people.

How to have steady aim

I would recommend you to first get some good hardware and good gear for fps. Good mouse pad and an amazing mouse would be great for PC video games. I tend to use low sensitivity in my games so I can do fast snaps and avoid twitches to mess up my aim. Also make sure you have a lot of room to move your mouse which would be the biggest case of mess ups. It really sucks when you run out of mouse space and you are getting shot and can not move your cross-hair to shoot at him.

First Person Shooter Tips

This is a new blog that me and riot will be giving tips to everyone on how to get better in fps games.
